Seminars take place 5:30pm to 6:45pm in the Strings Pavilion. Tickets are free to the community. Doors open at 4:45pm and free tickets are distributed beginning at the same time. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to become a Friend of the Seminars by donating $100 or more to the Seminars at Steamboat. Friends of the Seminars can reserve advance tickets for each program, with “Friends” ($100-$249) able to reserve 2 tickets to each Seminar and “Good Friends” and above able to reserve 4 tickets.

Should you choose to reserve tickets they will be held for your use until 5:20pm on the day of the seminar. Tickets that are not picked up at the door are released to the general public.

Heather Tanana is currently an Assistant Research Professor and Wallace Stegner Center Fellow at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah and has become a nationally recognized researcher and educator specializing in the vexing questions at the junction of law, health and water policies. In 2021 she received an award from the American Bar Association for “distinguished achievement in environmental law and policy” for her work including the 2021 report Universal Access to Clean Water for Tribes in the Colorado River Basin, for which she served as lead author. She is also contributing to the water chapter for the U.S. Global Change Research Program’s Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5), due in 2023, which will analyze the effects of global change on the world’s natural environment, resources and social systems.
